Racing Incident Report

PROFIT MASTER, which was unsettled in the gates and throwing its head about, shifted in abruptly on jumping and bumped GLORIOUS WINNER which then got its head on the side and shifted in abruptly. As a consequence of this, CHAMPION BOMB was severely checked. The occurrence in the opinion of the Stewards was accidental. From an outside gate, HEADING TO WIN was obliged to race wide throughout and without any cover. For a short distance in the early part of the Straight, RORY'S BID was awkward on the heels of GLORIOUS WINNER. About 100 Metres out, CHAMPION BOMB, which was finishing off quite strongly, was shifted out to find running and continued to go forward. PROFIT MASTER was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. Subsequent to the race, the Veterinary Surgeon conducted an endoscopic examination of PROFIT MASTER. This revealed a significant amount of blood in the trachea.
