Racing Incident Report

GOOD BA BA began awkwardly and bumped the inside gate of its stall. SEVENS HEAVEN began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, SUPER SPECIAL became unbalanced. Also shortly after the start, MAVERICK shifted in and made contact with LUCKY STRAVINSKY. In the early stages, LUCKY STRAVINSKY raced keenly. Near the 400 Metres, SUPER SPECIAL, which was hanging in, was steadied away from the heels of WONDERFUL BLESSING. Over about the final 400 Metres, FLAG FINDER hung in. Over about the final 300 Metres, SEVENS HEAVEN hung out. For the major part of the race, MAVERICK hung in and proved difficult to ride. G Mossé (FLORAL ARTS) said while the track was rated good, in his opinion the horse did not appreciate the moisture which was present. He said at no stage of the race did FLORAL ARTS travel as he thought it should. He did point out he raced towards the centre of the track which in his opinion was not as firm as the going wider. FLORAL ARTS was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. WONDERFUL BLESSING was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FLORAL ARTS and WONDERFUL BLESSING after the race did not show any significant findings. GOOD BA BA and LUCKY STRAVINSKY were sent for sampling.
