Racing Incident Report

MARIACHI was withdrawn on 16.6.07 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind foot). Before being allowed to race again, MARIACHI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. GOLDEN DYNASTY was slow to begin. At the 700 Metres, DOUBLE LUCK became unbalanced. At the 50 Metres, RED RULER was steadied when awkwardly placed between BITE MY DUST and DIAMOND SUPREME. Over the concluding stages, BITE MY DUST hung out. S K Sit (MEDALLION) explained the horse hangs out badly in its track work. He said today from the outside barrier he immediately shifted to the outside fence, however, when racing behind runners, MEDALLION was reluctant to face the kickback of today's track. He said because of this he then steadied MEDALLION and shifted it to the centre of the course to avoid the kickback. He said when not racing behind other runners, MEDALLION raced truly. RED RULER, BEJEWELED and DOUBLE LUCK were sent for sampling.
