Racing Incident Report

WIKI WIKI began awkwardly and lost ground, resulting in J Lloyd, its rider, becoming unbalanced in the saddle. ALMIGHTY began awkwardly. Approaching the first turn, WIKI WIKI, which was proving difficult to settle, was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of DIAMOND FLYER which shifted in momentarily. Near the 100 Metres, B Prebble (BIG KAHUNA) dropped his whip. A short distance later, BIG KAHUNA was shifted out away from the heels of PERFECT ATHLETE, which was tiring, and in doing so shifted out and bumped SCOOT DA LOOT, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. Throughout the race, KING CHOICE travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of ACTIVE VALOUR after the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, ACTIVE VALOUR will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of BIG KAHUNA after the race did not show any significant findings. ALMIGHTY, PLOT RATIO and KING CHOICE were sent for sampling.
