1 8 MASTER LUCKY (K582) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 9 POET'S REIGN (L021) Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between CIRRUS SPEED and MASTER LUCKY which shifted in. Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up behind ALSONSO. After being shifted to the inside of ALSONSO then had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 300 Metres and the 150 Metres when being shifted to the inside of COMET RADIANCE and LAHORE to improve. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 10 SILVER SPURS (J043) Sent for sampling post-race.
4 12 LAHORE (K043) Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race. Before being allowed to race again, LAHORE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
5 14 CIRRUS SPEED (K279) Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start made contact with POET’S REIGN.
6 7 LEADING DRAGON (L083) When placed under pressure in the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out.
7 4 COMET RADIANCE (L067) Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Near the 400 Metres lay in and as a result blundered and became unbalanced.
8 13 CONSPIRATOR (K090) Over the final 400 Metres was held up and could not be ridden out to the finish. Over the concluding stages was bumped on the hindquarters by BEST FARM which shifted out after improving into a narrow run between CONSPIRATOR and BUSTLING CITY.
9 3 BUSTLING CITY (L210) Z Purton reported that his mount, which was having its first race start, raced greenly during the race and finished off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 6 GREEN FIELD PEARL (K460) Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Over the final 500 Metres was held up for clear running and as a result was unable to be tested.
11 2 BEST FARM (K579) Approaching the 150 Metres improved into a narrow run between CONSPIRATOR and BUSTLING CITY and near the 50 Metres made contact with CONSPIRATOR when taken out by BUSTLING CITY.
12 11 SPICY BONUS (L086) Slow to begin. Over the final 50 Metres was held up behind LEADING DRAGON and as a result could not be ridden out to the finish.
13 1 ALSONSO (J405) Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by FORTUNE GOLDSADDLE. H Bowman could offer no excuse for his mount’s disappointing performance. Trainer M Newnham stated that he had been satisfied with the horse leading into the race and could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing run. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 5 FORTUNE GOLDSADDLE (L090) On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by COMET RADIANCE which shifted out.
