Racing Incident Report

HIMALAYA began awkwardly and knuckled. SUPER BLITZ and LUCKY SABRE were slow to begin. On jumping, MOMENTUM got its head up. In the early stages, MAN OF HONOUR and TRILLION WIN proved difficult to settle and on a number of occasions got their heads up. At the 400 Metres, B Prebble (SURVEYOR) dropped his whip. LUCKY SABRE and TRILLION WIN were sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, LUCKY SABRE, which tailed out, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. During an endoscopic examination, the horse was noted to have a soft palate problem that intermittently obstructed the airway. Before being permitted to race again, LUCKY SABRE will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of TRILLION WIN after the race did not show any significant findings. HIMALAYA, AMBITIOUS TYCOON and SIROCCO were sent for sampling.
