Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, ALWAYS WELCOME bounded in the air, on landing lost its footing behind and almost fell. EGYPTIAN RA began awkwardly, bumped the outside gate of its stall and lost ground. OUR JET and OKANAGAN were slow to begin. After the 800 Metres, EGYPTIAN RA, which was racing ungenerously, became unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of TRIUMPHANT UNICORN. Near the 600 Metres, ALWAYS WIN jumped a shadow on the track. After the 600 Metres, BOBO WIN was steadied away from the heels of FLYING GENERAL after being bumped by FLASHING STAR. Throughout the race, OUR JET hung in. ALWAYS WELCOME was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ALWAYS WELCOME after the race did not show any significant findings. GENERAL KINGY and TRIUMPHANT UNICORN were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted EGYPTIAN RA had lost its right fore plate and FLYING GENERAL had sustained a wound to the left hind cannon. Before being allowed to race again, FLYING GENERAL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
