Racing Incident Report

As the gates opened, TOP SCORER put its head down, began awkwardly and as a consequence lost ground. MAGIC TEMPLE was a little slow to begin, then lost further ground when crowded for room between KING HESPERUS and WONG'S SUCCESS. From on straightening until near the 200 Metres, TOP HONOR was held up and unable to obtain clear running. Throughout the race, ROYAL FALCON travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. Apprentice P H Lo (MAGIC TEMPLE) said near the 800 Metres he was experiencing difficulty with his vision due to his goggles collecting kickback. He said because of this he pulled one set of goggles down, he then continued to ride and in the Straight he again experienced difficulty with his vision due to the kickback on his goggles and as a consequence he was placed at a disadvantage in riding his mount out. ROYAL FALCON was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ROYAL FALCON after the race did not show any significant findings. TOP HONOR, SING FAY FAY and LUCKY CHAMPION were sent for sampling.
