Racing Incident Report

ACTIVISM, BUDDY BUDDIES and IRON HAWK were slow to begin.
From a wide barrier, THE FAST LANE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Passing the 300 Metres, GALAXY PRANCER shifted out and made contact with EXPEDITE.
Throughout the race, EXPEDITE travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
When questioned, M Chadwick stated that prior to the race it had been decided that GREEN MANNER would be best ridden back in the field from its wide barrier. He said that in pre-race discussions with connections, it was felt that if he were to press forward as he did at its last start over 1600 Metres, there was a strong likelihood that GREEN MANNER would be caught wide. He said accordingly soon after the start he steadied GREEN MANNER and took up a position back in the field.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of SUPER CAGA, O Doleuze stated that after being afforded a nice run during the race, SUPER CAGA did not respond to his riding in the Straight. He was unable to provide any further explanation for the performance of SUPER CAGA.
A veterinary inspection of RACING HERO and SUPER CAGA after the race did not show any significant findings.
RACING HERO, SHAHJEE and GREEN MANNER were sent for sampling.
