Racing Incident Report

SKY FOREVER began only fairly.
From wide barriers, FEARLESS FIRE and WIND SPEEDER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
MARVEL DRAGON lifted its front feet off the ground on jumping, shifted in and bumped THE GOLDEN SCENERY. When questioned, H T Mo stated that he was instructed to obtain cover on MARVEL DRAGON. He said it was felt that if the horse were ridden positively from barrier 10, a lot of use would have to be made of the horse and there was a possibility that MARVEL DRAGON would be left racing wide and without cover. He said as this was the horse’s first run this season, it was believed that its best opportunity to finish off the race would be to be ridden quietly in the early stages and obtain cover rather than being ridden along in the early stages and not being able to finish off the race.
Near the 750 Metres, THE GOLDEN SCENERY was awkwardly placed behind THE MULTIPLIER.
Approaching the 100 Metres, QUADRUPLE DOUBLE lay out and raced tight inside the hindquarters of DROPS OF GOD.
Throughout the race, THE RUNNER travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of THE GOLDEN SCENERY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DROPS OF GOD and BE READY were sent for sampling.
