Racing Incident Report

When jumping, REFRESHINGLY sprawled, shifted out and made contact with SO GREAT. Approaching and rounding the latter part of the Home Turn, GIANT was awkwardly placed just inside the heels of COURS VITE. Then to obtain clear running, GIANT was shifted out about the 200 Metres. In the early part of the Straight, MELROSE STAR, which was making good ground from well back, was disappointed for running inside SUPER FORTUNE, was steadied and changed course abruptly to find running. In the Straight, HANDSOME MAN shifted in, as a consequence of this, some inconvenience was caused to SOUNDS GOOD about the 100 Metres. S Dye (SOUNDS GOOD) said the intention had been to ride the horse about midfield. He said however SOUNDS GOOD left the gates cleanly and well, got straight on the bit and settled into a position much further forward than was intended and in the circumstances he elected to ride the horse in a forward position.
