2 6 GENERAL SMART (K138) Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Sent for sampling post-race.

4 3 BLING BLING GENIUS (J397) Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 1000 Metres was eased to avoid HE WAS ME (A Atzeni) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care. H Bowman stated that when the early stages of the event were run outside of standard time his mount held a more forward position than he had anticipated.
5 7 PANDA LEGEND (H002) After being crossed by EXCEED THE WISH approaching the 1000 Metres commenced to race keenly and then raced tight to the inside of FIGHT TIME for a short distance thereafter.
6 5 PODIUM (H173) No report.
7 12 CASA LEGEND (G126) Jumped only fairly.
8 9 DRACO (J115) Throughout the early and middle stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 1000 Metres got its head up when awkwardly placed between CASA LEGEND and GALE SAGA. L Ferraris stated that his mount settled back in the field and in the Home Straight he was satisfied with the horse’s finishing effort.
9 8 WINDICATOR FAMILY (H419) Slow to begin. Near the 350 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of THE CONCENTRATION to continue into clear running.
10 13 SMART ENGINEER (K244) M L Yeung reported that the instructions were to find a position back in the field with cover. He said throughout the early stages SMART ENGINEER raced keenly as he endeavoured to comply with those instructions. He added as a result he was obliged to allow the horse to stride forward to avoid covering additional ground. He said after crossing HE WAS ME near the 800 Metres his mount raced too keenly in the lead and set a faster pace than he would have liked.
11 4 EXCEED THE WISH (J480) Approaching the 900 Metres raced keenly when positioned tight to the inside of BLING BLING GENIUS. Between the 400 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.
12 10 FIGHT TIME (H409) B Avdulla stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a result did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 14 THE WAY WE WIN (J493) Near the 200 Metres M Chadwick dropped his right rein and rode the horse to the finish without the use of the rein. M Chadwick reported that his mount was one-paced when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 2 GALE SAGA (J152) Bumped shortly after the start. K Teetan reported that his mount settled back in the field and found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV COSMO LIGHT (J379) Withdrawn on 7.3.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right front injury) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter FIGHT TIME. Before being allowed to race again, COSMO LIGHT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
