Racing Incident Report

After arriving in the saddling stalls, it was noted FABULOUS had a mild skin allergy over its hindquarters. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. FABULOUS was slow to begin. SPEED OF LIGHT began awkwardly, shifted out and was steadied away from the heels of ENVOY OF LIGHT which shifted in after bumping with BARRACUDA. At the 500 Metres, SUNNY DESERT was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of BEEP BEEP. On straightening, JUST TOO GOOD was shifted in to avoid the heels of DONGGUAN VICTORY which shifted out to improve. After straightening, SUNNY DESERT was steadied and shifted in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of ENVOY OF LIGHT which hung out making the turn. After the 300 Metres, C Williams (FLORAL DANCER), which was giving ground, momentarily dropped his right rein. Near the 100 Meters, FABULOUS, which was making some ground, had its head on the side and was shifting out, was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of JUST TOO GOOD which was shifting in. Throughout the race, BEEP BEEP raced wide and without cover. FABULOUS was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of FABULOUS after the race did not shown any significant findings. CHEERFUL HEART, SHABU SHABU and DONGGUAN VICTORY were sent for sampling.
