Racing Incident Report

DR CANDY was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality). Before being allowed to race again, DR CANDY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Shortly after the start, AURELIAN and SPLENDID SAILS lost ground when crowded for room between INSPIRATION and THE ELEGANT GREY which on jumping shifted ground after bumping with WAFER KING. In the middle stages, THAT'S IT hung out. Throughout the race, GLOBAL WAY travelled wide and without cover and prior to straightening commenced to give ground. After the 200 Metres, ACTIVE VALOUR got its head on the side, commenced to hang in, then when being straightened near the 50 Metres got its head on the side, shifted out and made contact with AURELIAN. ACTIVE VALOUR continued to hang out for the remainder of the race and proved difficult to ride. SPLENDID SAILS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SPLENDID SAILS after the race did not show any significant findings. INSPIRATION and THAT'S IT were sent for sampling.
