Racing Incident Report

ELITE FORTUNE began awkwardly and lost ground. On jumping, SEASON LINKZ was bumped by SOLDIER which began awkwardly, got its head up and shifted in. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, AMNESTY failed to muster speed and as a consequence travelled wide and without cover for the major part of the race. After the 800 Metres, GOUF was steadied away from the heels of NOBLE CHOICE as the tempo of the race steadied. Near the 700 Metres, AMNESTY was hampered and carried wider by THUNDER DANCING which shifted out abruptly when being steadied away from the heels of HAPPY REUNION as the tempo continued to steady. SEASON LINKZ, which was following THUNDER DANCING, was hampered in consequence. In the early part of the Straight, GOUF hung in and STREET CAT had some difficulty obtaining clear running. After the 50 Metres, SUPER PEGASUS was steadied away from the heels of NOBLE CHOICE. Near the winning post, SEASON LINKZ and SOLDIER bumped. Also near the winning post, H W Lai (HAPPY REUNION) dropped his right rein. In the Straight, NOBLE CHOICE hung out. GOUF and SEASON LINKZ were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of GOUF and SEASON LINKZ after the race did not show any significant findings. HAPPY REUNION, DR POSSIBLE and STREET CAT were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that THUNDER DANCING had bled from both nostrils.
