Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, it was noted that the tongue tie fitted to HYDROGEN POWER had come off. The Veterinary Surgeon at the Start and several attendants tried to refit the tongue tie numerous times, but were unable to do so. HYDROGEN POWER therefore ran tonight without a tongue tie. When the gates opened, APRIL HARE bounded in the air and threw its head about, as a consequence of this lost ground. PERFECT SHADOW was slowly away. NIGHT HUNTER II left the gates awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of MR PRESIDENT. Near the 600 Metres, MULTI-WINNER shifted out and made contact with HYDROGEN POWER. For some distance after this, HYDROGEN POWER raced awkwardly between MULTI-WINNER and NIGHT HUNTER II. After the race, it was noted that APRIL HARE had lost its off side front plate. Also after the race, the Veterinary Surgeon said WINNING SEASON had sustained a laceration to the outside of its near front coronet band. Before being allowed to race again, WINNING SEASON will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
