Racing Incident Report

RARE COLLECTION, ZHI YOU SPIRIT and FORTUNE ALL TIMES were slow to begin. GOLDEN FARM began awkwardly and shifted out. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, SUN POWER was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of CHAMP DE UNION. From the outside gates, HONOURABLE raced in a forward position, however, was obliged to race wide and without cover, then in the Straight hung in. In the early part of the Straight, SOUTHERN LIGHT was held up and unable to improve between GOLDEN FARM and HK ISLAND VICTORY. Prior to the 200 Metres, SOUTHERN LIGHT was shifted to the outside of HK ISLAND VICTORY into clear running. After the 200 Metres, SUN POWER hung in. CHAMP DE UNION, HK ISLAND VICTORY and GOLDEN FARM were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 9 September 2004)
GOLDEN FARM was examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer L Ho this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have an inflammation in the right fore fetlock. Before being allowed to race again, GOLDEN FARM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
