Racing Incident Report

KIMBO KID began awkwardly, causing D Whyte, its rider, to become unbalanced. Shortly after the start, SMILING FOREST was steadied when awkwardly placed between MILLION CHASE and SOUTH CHINA NINETY. Approaching the turn at the 1000 Metres, MILLION CHASE got its head on the side and hung in away from KAO AND MING. After this, MILLION CHASE raced ungenerously when proving difficult to settle while racing close to the heels of GLORY YEARS. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, MURCIELAGO hung out. This caused some inconvenience to DRAGON BOOM. W M Lai (TRIUMPHANT GLORY) reported he had trouble with his vision during the race and because of this on straightening and for some distance afterwards he attempted to clear his goggles and was disadvantaged in riding his mount out due to restricted vision. D Whyte (KIMBO KID) reported after beginning awkwardly his mount was obliged to race three wide and without cover, however, its poor performance was as a result of it not handling tonight's wet track. He did point out KIMBO KID had performed poorly in similar ground previously. S Dye (KAO AND MING), which performed poorly, reported his mount did not handle tonight's track conditions. KIMBO KID was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. KAO AND MING was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of KIMBO KID and KAO AND MING after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPER BALL and SOUTH CHINA NINETY were sent for sampling.
