Racing Incident Report

E Saint-Martin (LUCKY DIAMOND) was fined $2,000 for negligence in that he initially weighed out for this race without a girth. While parading, GREAT FORTUNE shifted its right front plate. The horse was re-plated and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. LUCKY DIAMOND was a little slow to begin, then began awkwardly, shifted out, bumped the hindquarters of SKYVIEW BAR and as a result lost ground. GREAT FORTUNE and CHEERFUL HAPPINESS were slow to begin. BRIGHT AND GAY was slow to begin and shortly afterwards was steadied away from the heels of LIVERPOOLTHEGREAT. Over the concluding stages, RICH FOR ALL was held up and unable to continue improving between MASTER DREAMER and ONE SHOT. Because of this, RICH FOR ALL was not ridden out right to the line. After the 50 Metres, ONE SHOT, which was laying in, was steadied away from the heels of SPY KING which shifted out. Just prior to the winning post, BRIGHT AND GAY was steadied away from the heels of SKYVIEW BAR. Throughout the race, LUCKY DIAMOND raced wide and without cover. LUCKY DIAMOND, SUPREME GAINS and CIRCULAR MACHINE were sent for sampling.
