Racing Incident Report

N Ryan (INSIDER) was reprimanded for presenting at the scale wearing the incorrect colours. INSIDER was slow to begin. TOFFEE began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall, causing Apprentice C K Tong, its rider, to lose the use of his left stirrup. Apprentice Tong regained this stirrup at about the 900 Metres. After the 800 Metres, THUNDER FLASH was steadied when crowded for room on the outside of TREASURE PLANET (M Nunes) which shifted out when not properly clear. M Nunes was reprimanded and told in similar circumstances he would be expected to exercise greater care. After the 400 Metres, CASH BABY got its head on the side and hung out. At the 100 Metres, TREASURE PLANET became unbalanced when being steadied while momentarily crowded outside FLORAL FOKANZA which shifted slightly. ALWAYS HAPPY and CASH BABY were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ALWAYS HAPPY and CASH BABY after the race did not show any significant findings. THUNDER FLASH, SURE JOY and KINGSTON WINNER were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported FLORAL FOKANZA was lame in the right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, FLORAL FOKANZA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
