Racing Incident Report

WINASWEWISH had its tongue tie refitted in the Parade Ring.
HALL OF FAME and COOL BROTHERS, which both began awkwardly, were crowded for room on jumping between TRIUMPHANT LIGHT and LUCKY POWER which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. In this incident, TRIUMPHANT LIGHT became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by COOL BROTHERS.
NOTED PERFORMER was crowded for room on jumping between RUBY COAST and TEAM SWEET which shifted in. After this, NOTED PERFORMER was shifted across behind runners.
THE SHOW lost its left front plate at the start.
WINASWEWISH, from the outside barrier, was taken across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the 1500 Metres, CAPE THE FAITH momentarily raced tight inside POLYMER LUCK which was taken in by THE SHOW.
LUCKY POWER gave ground in the Straight and finished tailed out. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY POWER immediately following the race confirmed the horse to be a “roarer” which had previously been reported. The performance of LUCKY POWER was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY POWER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
When questioned regarding the performance of THE SHOW, Apprentice H T Mo stated that the tempo of the race today was quicker than at its last start when the horse was successful after being able to lead. He said despite being ridden along in the early stages, THE SHOW did not show sufficient early speed and he was unable to prevent CLUB LIFE from crossing THE SHOW near the 1300 Metres and then LUCKY POWER shifting in to race in advance of THE SHOW near the 1000 Metres. He added THE SHOW did not travel comfortably at any stage of the race and in the Straight gave ground and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection of THE SHOW immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of THE SHOW, a last start winner, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, THE SHOW will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
TRIUMPHANT LIGHT, CLUB LIFE and POLYMER LUCK were sent for sampling.
