Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
1 7 POCKETING (L396) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 5 BIG RETURN (K192) Shifted in on jumping and made contact with KA YING GENERATION. In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1800 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid THE AUSPICIOUS. BIG RETURN continued to race keenly in the middle stages and near the 1500 Metres got its head up when being checked to avoid THE AUSPICIOUS, shifted out and made contact with SUPER GOLDENDRAGON. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 1 SERAPH GABRIEL (L108) Leaving the 900 Metres was steadied when crowded between SUPER GOLDENDRAGON which lay in and LO RIDER which shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 3 KA YING GENERATION (J075) Bumped on jumping and then raced tight between BIG RETURN and THE AUSPICIOUS which shifted out slightly.
5 4 LO RIDER (K161) Approaching the 500 Metres made contact with SUPER GOLDENDRAGON as it endeavoured to improve to the outside of CALL ME MAGNIFIQUE.
6 10 SUPER GOLDENDRAGON (K458) Jumped awkwardly, resulting in its rider K C Leung becoming unbalanced. Approaching the 500 Metres was contacted by LO RIDER which shifted out. Near the 150 Metres K C Leung dropped his whip. Between the 150 Metres and the 100 Metres raced in restricted room to the inside of SERAPH GABRIEL which shifted in. When questioned Jockey Leung stated that after settling in a midfield position to the outside of BIG RETURN, when the pace of the event eased near the 1500 Metres his mount became unbalanced when bumped by BIG RETURN which shifted out when being checked. He said as a result SUPER GOLDENDRAGON then commenced to race keenly and he allowed it to stride forward. He said as he improved forward the pace of the race increased and when CALL ME MAGNIFIQUE held its position to his inside he was unable to cross that runner approaching the turn near the 900 Metres. He said as a consequence he elected to remain racing to the outside of CALL ME MAGNIFIQUE before being able to obtain cover near the 700 Metres. He added that under pressure in the Home Straight his mount finished the race off only fairly which he attributed to the race not being run to suit. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.
7 6 CALL ME MAGNIFIQUE (L339) No report.
8 8 MIGHTY STRENGTH (H450) L Ferraris advised that from his wide barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions and stated he issued those instructions to offset the wide barrier draw.
9 9 THE AUSPICIOUS (K004) Leaving the 900 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from SERAPH GABRIEL.
10 2 WITHOUT COMPARE (L151) E C W Wong stated that his instructions were to go forward but to obtain cover. He said when he was caught wide in the early stages he elected to allow his mount to stride forward and lead to avoid covering additional ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, WITHOUT COMPARE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
WV 11 NUCLEOZOR (K285) Withdrawn on 22.10.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind). Before being allowed to race again, NUCLEOZOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
