Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the barriers, F Coetzee (DANZIG CONTINENTAL) expressed concern with the manner in which the horse had worked to the start. DANZIG CONTINENTAL was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion the horse was suitable to race. HEALTHY BOBO jumped awkwardly with its head up. When the gates opened, RICH STAR bounded in the air. LOTUS SUPREME jumped very awkwardly. About the 400 Metres, DANZIG CONTINENTAL, which was giving ground, was checked when crowded between PLATINUM EXPRESS and CASH (K H Yu), which although inclined to be racing greenly, was being shifted out by its rider. It was decided no direct action was taken, but K S Yu was severely reprimanded and told he must exercise more care.
