Racing Incident Report

When making its way to the track, HEAVEN CAN WAIT kicked out behind and made contact with a rail, as a consequence shifted its off hind plate. The Veterinary Surgeon said as a result of this HEAVEN CAN WAIT sustained a puncture wound to its off side hind foot and in his opinion was not suitable to race. Accordingly HEAVEN CAN WAIT was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. STARWAY PATROL left the gates very awkwardly and threw its head about. STRONG SCOTCH was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing. After the race, it was reported that STRONG SCOTCH was bleeding from both nostrils.
