Racing Incident Report

CHIVAS LAD left the gates somewhat awkwardly, was then momentarily unbalanced when close to the hindquarters of DANCING SOUND. As a consequence of CHIVAS LAD coming out awkwardly, Y T Cheng momentarily lost the use of his off side stirrup iron. TEKON PERFECT was slowly away, then just after the start bumped the hindquarters of FLORAL DANCER. Rounding the turn and in the Straight, TRULY HAPPY hung in. Apprentice S K Sit (TEKON PERFECT) said he has not ridden the horse in any of its work, before the race he was told the stable considered the horse should run competitively. He said however tonight he formed the opinion that TEKON PERFECT was not happy in the wet track conditions and also the pace which the race was run in his opinion did not suit TEKON PERFECT. On pulling up, A Marcus (DANCING SOUND) said the horse was making abnormal breathing noises. The Veterinary Surgeon examined DANCING SOUND. An endoscopic examination was performed. No abnormalities were detected. GOT IT RIGHT was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
