Racing Incident Report

NEW PLANET and EXCEPTIONAL were slow to begin. Making the turn at the 2000 Metres, BOUNTIFUL, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when momentarily crowded by EXPLOSIVE POWER. At the 600 Metres, WINWIN COMBO and WAIALAE WIN bumped. For some distance after the 600 Metres, HIGH SKY and EXPLOSIVE POWER raced tight when crowded for room due mainly to EXPLOSIVE POWER being awkwardly placed inside the heels of BOUNTIFUL. Over about the last 100 Metres, EXCEPTIONAL had difficulty obtaining clear running and as a result was not ridden out as it normally would be. In the concluding stages, ALLEZ ALLEZ was awkwardly placed close to the hindquarters of MAJESTIC WARRIOR. NEW PLANET, HIGH SKY and DEEP PURPLE were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that BOUNTIFUL had sustained a small laceration to its right hind fetlock joint.
