Racing Incident Report

TEMMOKU left the gates awkwardly and threw its head up, as a consequence got somewhat back in the field. From a difficult draw, GOT IT RIGHT was obliged to race wide, was not able to find any cover and over the concluding stages dropped out. From a draw towards the outside, BIA DESERT was steadied on jumping and took up a position closer to the rail but towards the rear. Turning out of the Straight the first time, CUPID was steadied when crowded for room between PLATINUM EXPRESS and MR BASKETBALL which was racing tight inside TEMMOKU which in turn was tight on the inside of GOT IT RIGHT. MILLENNIUM SPIRIT, which was obliged to race wide, hung out badly over about the last 800 Metres. Approaching the winning post, PLATINUM EXPRESS was held up behind ARROGANCE which was giving ground. TEMMOKU was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, TEMMOKU was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No abnormalities were detected. However, it was decided before TEMMOKU can race again, it will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. MILLENNIUM SPIRIT was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, MILLENNIUM SPIRIT was examined by the Veterinary Officer. An endoscopic examination revealed a moderate amount of phlegm in the horse's windpipe. Before the horse can race again, it will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. BLACK KNIGHT, DYNAMIC FUN and PRODIGY were sent for sampling. After the race, BLACK KNIGHT was examined by the Veterinary Officer. A moderate amount of mucus was present in the horse's trachea. The performance of BLACK KNIGHT was considered unacceptable. Before the horse will be allowed to race again, it must perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
