Racing Incident Report

TIME OF RED WINE began awkwardly and lost ground. Shortly after the start, SUPER FAST, LIGHTNING BOLT and JET JACKSON came together. At the 900 Metres, SUPER FAST, which was being hard ridden, was unable to maintain its position inside LIGHTNING BOLT which got its head on the side and shifted in away from JET JACKSON. At the 600 Metres, HOKKIEN ALL shifted in slightly. This caused some crowding to DANHERO which as a result was steadied. LIGHTNING BOLT, which was following, was checked in consequence. LUCKY TRIO hung out badly making the Home Turn. Over the concluding stages, SONGS OF THE SUN, which was giving ground, was awkwardly placed between HOKKIEN ALL and GOLDEN FARM which shifted in slightly. As a consequence of this, SONGS OF THE SUN was not ridden out to the end of the race. DANHERO and DRAGON HORSE were sent for sampling. An inquiry into the running and riding of MARSHALL SPIRIT in the Home Straight was adjourned to the Sha Tin meeting on Sunday 19 January 2003.
