Racing Incident Report

VIGOR DELIGHT was slow to begin. From a wide barrier, OWNERS’ GLORY was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Shortly after entering the Straight, GREAT RENOWN, VIGOR DELIGHT and HO HO LIFE raced tight. Throughout the race, NICE FOLKS travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. The performance of NICE FOLKS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, NICE FOLKS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of NICE FOLKS and HANDSOME BATCHELOR after the race did not show any significant findings. HO HO LIFE, SHINY DAY and INDIGO WAY were sent for sampling.
