Racing Incident Report

After being boxed, CARACOLER became fractious and momentarily had its off side hind leg caught on the ledge inside the starting stalls. CARACOLER was released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultations the horse was suitable to race. About the 500 Metres, TRILLION WIN was steadied and shifted out abruptly to avoid RIGHT HONORABLE which was giving ground quickly. Shortly afterwards, GREENMORE was also shifted out quickly to avoid RIGHT HONORABLE. Then about the 300 Metres, RIGHT HONORABLE collapsed. Just after straightening, NORTHERN GOLD BALL was steadied and shifted in to avoid DESERT STORM. About the 300 Metres, DESERT STORM was checked when disappointed for running between CARACOLER which shifted out slightly and SNOWSTORM. At about this time, EPIC EXPRESSION steadied and shifted out to avoid SNOWSTORM. Approaching the 200 Metres, GREENMORE was momentarily tightened for room between TRILLION WIN which was weakening and WINNING BOY. TRILLION WIN and SUPER BLITZ were sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon said he performed an endoscopic examination of TRILLION WIN and noted a moderate amount of blood in the trachea of the horse. Before being allowed to race again, TRILLION WIN will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. Following the race, the Veterinary Surgeon said NORTHERN GOLD BALL had sustained a laceration to the mid section of its near front cannon.
