Racing Incident Report

KENWOOD MELODY was withdrawn on 22.11.02 on veterinary grounds (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter KIMBERLEY MINES (Y T Cheng). Before KENWOOD MELODY can race again, it will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. PRIME WITNESS jumped awkwardly and bumped with THUNDER. WISHMASTER was slowly away. On leaving the gates, CAPE OF GOOD HOPE and TRIPLE EXPRESSO came together. Just after the start, PRIME WITNESS was inconvenienced by THUNDER which was hanging in. After this, PRIME WITNESS shifted out and was then awkward between ALL THRILLS TOO and CHARMING CITY. Throughout the race, THUNDER hung in, as a consequence proved difficult to ride out in the run to the finishing line. FIREBOLT, ALL THRILLS TOO and CAPE OF GOOD HOPE were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported OUR CLASS had sustained a laceration to its tongue.
