Racing Incident Report

LORD CAIRNS began awkwardly and lost ground. SMARTY was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, CHOICE AND CHANCE was steadied when crowded for room between TRIUMPHANT GLORY and RED FORTUNE which got its head on the side and shifted in after being brushed by GOLD MEDAL WINNER. Because of this, CHOICE AND CHANCE got well back. CHOICE AND CHANCE made the turn at the 800 Metres awkwardly and was steadied away from the heels of SMARTY. At the 700 Metres, TRIUMPHANT GLORY was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of JOIN VICTORY. In the middle stages, VITAL FOUNTAIN hung in. Over about the final 100 Metres, LORD CAIRNS had difficulty obtaining clear running initially between GOLD MEDAL WINNER and GLORY YEARS which when giving ground hung in, then near the winning post between GOLD MEDAL WINNER and TAIJI SPIRIT. MASTER SPIRIT, GOLD MEDAL WINNER and TAIJI SPIRIT were sent for sampling.
