Racing Incident Report

As the start was effected, DASHING CHAMPION got its head up and turned to the right hand side, as a consequence was a little slow to begin. ART TRADER began awkwardly. From the outside gate, NORTHERNER was immediately steadied and shifted across behind runners. After the 400 Metres, ART TRADER was steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of GALLANT KNIGHT which itself was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of KING OF FISH which was commencing to give ground. Close to the line, NORTHERNER, which was closing the race off, improved towards the heels of WINNING KEVIN. In the Straight, FIGHTING MASCOT hung in. Throughout the race, KING OF FISH from an awkward barrier raced wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. STABLE MAIL was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of STABLE MAIL after the race did not show any significant findings. ART TRADER and WINNING KEVIN were sent for sampling.
