Racing Incident Report

FLORAL KING and EASTERN PURPLE came from the gates awkwardly and were then further inconvenienced when tightened between CHAMP DE UNION and WINNING COUNTER, both of which shifted ground. GENERAL KINGY was slowly away. On jumping, VICTORY WARRIOR threw its head about. Near the 200 Metres, FLORAL KING shifted out abruptly to avoid OVATION. Throughout the race, OUR CLASS hung out, about the 300 Metres shifted ground and brushed WINNING COUNTER which then shifted out and caused SAINTLY PARTNERS to be crowded onto GOLCONDA and checked. Despite the severity of the crowding which occurred, the Stewards were of the view in all the circumstances no action should be taken. GENERAL KINGY, CAPE OF GOOD HOPE and CHAMP DE UNION were sent for sampling.
