Racing Incident Report

GOLD SANDFIELD and FLORAL KHAN were slow to begin. For the major part of the race, COUNTRY MUSIC hung in, near the 800 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ALWAYS FLYING which shifted out slightly. After this, COUNTRY MUSIC raced tight with LUCKY TRIO for some distance while continuing to hang in. Then near the winning post, COUNTRY MUSIC shifted out towards the heels of ALWAYS FLYING. Over the concluding stages, OKEYDOKEY and WISHMASTER were inclined to lay in. Throughout the race, FLORAL KHAN and SUGAR AND SWEET hung in. D Dunn (ALWAYS FLYING) was fined $2,000 for making a celebratory gesture prior to the winning post. FOUR ACES was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of FOUR ACES after the race did not reveal any significant abnormalities. ALWAYS FLYING and COUNTRY MUSIC were sent for sampling.
