Racing Incident Report

COSMO SUCCESS was slow to begin. AGILITY bounded in the air at the start and lost ground. On jumping, MIGHTY HUGO blundered. PERPETUAL PLEASURE began awkwardly and lost ground. Shortly after the start, when being ridden along to obtain a forward position, ROOSEVELT shifted in and brushed the running rail. On straightening, MIGHTY HUGO was bumped by AGILITY which shifted to the outside of RIVER ESPERANTO into clear running. PERPETUAL PLEASURE, which was following, was inconvenienced when close to the heels of MIGHTY HUGO. At the 300 Metres, PERPETUAL PLEASURE was steadied away from the heels of COSMO SUCCESS which at this time shifted out. After this, PERPETUAL PLEASURE hung in and proved difficult to ride. Over the concluding stages, RIVER ESPERANTO was carried in by AGILITY which shifted ground. Throughout the race, DR WELL from the outside barrier travelled wide and without cover. RUM SHOT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of RUM SHOT after the race did not show any significant findings. RIVER ESPERANTO, AGILITY and DR WELL were sent for sampling.
