Racing Incident Report

DANABAA began awkwardly, bounded in the air and lost ground. VERY FIT and BOUNCER began awkwardly. MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP began awkwardly, then in the early stages proved very difficult to settle. In the early stages, SICHUAN HERO, which throughout the race travelled wide and without cover, proved very difficult to settle. After the 1400 Metres, SPEEDY WARRIOR, which was proving difficult to settle, was steadied away from the heels of DANABAA which shifted in when barely clear. After the 800 Metres, WAIT FOR ME was shifted wider, commenced to over-race and started to improve around the field, then near the 600 Metres became unbalanced behind after being bumped by SIR LAGO. After the 600 Metres, SIR LAGO was steadied when awkwardly placed between WAIT FOR ME and MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP which at this time shifted to the outside of SICHUAN HERO. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied the riding of S K Sit (MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP), 6th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he nonetheless was reminded of his responsibility to ride all mounts out at least hands and heels to the winning post where possible. ICHIBAN and SUPER CHARGE were sent for sampling.
