Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, it was noted that the tongue tie fitted to THANK HEAVENS had come off. This was replaced before the horse was boxed. The start was delayed as LUCKY STALLION proved difficult to load into its stall. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY STALLION will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. LUCKY STALLION left the gates very awkwardly, shifted out and bumped CERTAINTY. Just after this, CERTAINTY brushed with MASTER FAY which shifted in abruptly. As a consequence of this, LUCKY STALLION was severely checked. The crowding in the opinion of the Stewards was accidental. On leaving the gates, HAPPY MOMENTUM was crowded for room between GOGGLES which shifted in away from HANDBAG DRAGON and LOMOND'S FAY which was taken out slightly by NORTHERN FLYER. Just after the start, GOGGLES got its head up when momentarily crowded by HANDBAG DRAGON. In the early stages, TRILLION WIN had a tendency to pull and get its head up. Just after the 200 Metres, HANDBAG DRAGON, which was giving ground, was steadied when tightened by MASTER FAY which was also giving some ground, got its head up and shifted in away from GOGGLES. In the Straight, HAPPY MOMENTUM hung in and approaching the winning post had trouble obtaining clear running between BRILLIANT WAY and TRILLION WIN. HAPPY MOMENTUM was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
