Racing Incident Report

SUDDEN SPLENDOR was withdrawn on 6.1.06 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (respiratory disease) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter CELEBRATION (Apprentice H W Lai). Before being allowed to race again, SUDDEN SPLENDOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After being boxed, WADADELIGHT became fractious, reared, then began awkwardly. EASY GAME was slow to begin. At the 1000 Metres, GOOD BA BA and WADADELIGHT bumped. After the 800 Metres, GOOD BA BA was left racing wide without cover, then in the Straight was shifted wider. For a considerable distance after the 400 Metres, RUM SHOT was held up and unable to improve behind TACTIC KING and GOOD PARTNER. Also after the 400 Metres, PRIME DELIGHT had difficulty obtaining clear running. GOOD PARTNER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of GOOD PARTNER after the race did not show any significant findings. GOOD BA BA and PRIME DELIGHT were sent for sampling.
