Racing Incident Report

POCKET MONEY began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped GRAND CRU. BEAUTIFUL DREAMER was hampered at the start when crowded for room between WHATABOB which shifted out and NIRVANA which bounded in the air and shifted in. On jumping, GALLANT LION was crowded for room between DOWN THE WICKET and DIAMOND BRILLIANCE which shifted in. Approaching the 800 Metres, REGENCY DRAGON shifted in and bumped FOKINE when being steadied away from the heels of DOWN THE WICKET. NIRVANA, which was following REGENCY DRAGON, was hampered in consequence. Near the 300 Metres, REGENCY DRAGON shifted out and hampered WIN AGAIN. After this, REGENCY DRAGON raced greenly. Also near the 300 Metres, M Nunes (WIN AGAIN) dropped his left rein. Throughout the race, WIN AGAIN travelled wide and without cover. POCKET MONEY was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. After the race, POCKET MONEY was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. WHATABOB and DOWN THE WICKET were sent for sampling.
