Racing Incident Report

DIAMOND TALENTS was withdrawn on raceday morning on veterinary grounds (high temperature). BIA DESERT began awkwardly with its head up and then was obliged to race wide without cover until the 800 Metres. On jumping, MAGICAL WARRIOR stumbled. After the 800 Metres, MAGICAL WARRIOR was hampered and carried wider when LUCKSWELL (S Dye) shifted to the outside of BIA DESERT. S Dye was told whilst competitive riding is always encouraged, his riding on this occasion bordered on what could be acceptable. Prior to straightening, MASTER MAGIC, which had improved into a narrow run on the inside of OPTIC FRIENDLY (D Whyte), was checked when crowded for room by OPTIC FRIENDLY as that horse shifted to the inside of TURBOJET which commenced to give ground. In the circumstances, no action was taken, however, D Whyte was severely reprimanded and advised to exercise more care. MAGICAL WARRIOR and TURBOJET were sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
