Racing Incident Report

HOWSON, which was standing with its head turned slightly to the left hand side, left the gates very awkwardly. ADMIRAL jumped awkwardly, threw its head about and just after the start bumped JUST VICTORY. From an outside gate, BEAMING RIVER was steadied on jumping to shift across behind the field to take up a position closer to the rail but towards the rear. JUST VICTORY was obliged to race wide throughout and without any cover, then over the concluding stages when weakening hung in. ADMIRAL, FAST TRACK, PROFIT TREASURE and VICTORY MOUNT were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that FAST TRACK had sustained a laceration to the front of its left hind fetlock joint.
