Racing Incident Report

NO COMPROMISE began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall. HAIL WINNER began awkardly and lost ground. Near the 1300 Metres, HAIL WINNER was steadied away from the heels of BAYVIEW LAD. After the 600 Metres, DRAGON WIN hung in. Throughout the race, BAYVIEW LAD travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. G Mossé (JADE RUYI), which performed poorly, explained behind the gates the horse appeared tense, after being boxed became fractious and reared on two occasions, then when the gates opened bounded in the air and lost ground and as a consequence raced in a rearward position as is usual. He said entering the Back Straight he shifted wider in an attempt to get the horse to travel and improve its position, however, it was unable to do so, came under heavy pressure after the 600 Metres, failed to respond and in the Straight gave ground. He said he was unable to offer any explanation for the performance other than to say at no stage of the race did JADE RUYI travel comfortably. JADE RUYI and BAYVIEW LAD were sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of both JADE RUYI and BAYVIEW LAD after the race did not reveal any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, JADE RUYI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. RED FIREBALL and LEGEND'S GLORY were sent for sampling.
