Racing Incident Report

SEASONS TREASURE was slow to begin. CZAR OF PRUSSIA began awkwardly and got its head up. FLYING BISHOP began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of SUPER FANTASY. In the early stages, KEEN FLYER raced wide and without cover. At the 1000 Metres, GREAT ACHIEVEMENT was bumped by FORTUNE LIFE which got its head on the side and shifted in away from SUPER FANTASY. After the 900 Metres, FLYING BISHOP became unbalanced, dipped on a number of occasions and lost ground. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, GREAT ACHIEVEMENT raced tight inside FORTUNE LIFE which improved on the inside of KEEN FLYER as that horse commenced to give ground. Apprentice M W Leung (KEEN FLYER) reported after having to work hard in the early stages to cross and race outside the lead, the horse commenced to give ground from the 600 Metres and on a number of occasions became unbalanced. He said because of this he eased KEEN FLYER down. KEEN FLYER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of KEEN FLYER after the race did not show any significant findings. TABBRIS, GREAT ACHIEVEMENT and SEASONS TREASURE were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted LUCKY CHAMPION had lost its left hind plate and SURVEYOR had lost its left front plate.
