Racing Incident Report

PREMIER CRU and LUCKY BIRD were slow to begin and then shortly afterwards were steadied when crowded for room between NOBLE ZOOM and WISHING WELL, both of which shifted ground. GIDDY KIPPER began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of RENA'S WUNDERBAR. Shortly after the start, NEW CENTURY was steadied away from the heels of RENA'S WUNDERBAR which shifted in when not properly clear. In the early stages, WISHING WELL raced wide and without cover and was allowed to stride forward after the 1200 Metres. After the 1000 Metres, PREMIER CRU was left racing wide and without cover and was allowed to travel forward. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, ACE KING, which was commencing to give ground and was inclined to hang in, became unbalanced when racing tight inside PREMIER CRU. At the 250 Metres, RENA'S WUNDERBAR was steadied and shifted in when disappointed for running between PREMIER CRU and HARVEST GALA which at this time was shifting towards the outside of NOBLE ZOOM. At the 150 Metres, WISHING WELL, when giving ground, hung in and was steadied away from the heels of PREMIER CRU. Over the concluding stages, GIDDY KIPPER hung in. LUCKY BIRD was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY BIRD after the race did not show any significant findings. PREMIER CRU, GIDDY KIPPER and HARVEST GALA were sent for sampling.
