Racing Incident Report

SUPER BROTHER was slow to begin and then shortly after the start was checked when crowded for room between CHATER POWER and GLORY HORSIE, both of which shifted ground. From wide barriers, MOCHI, BRILLIANT ONE and STAR OF FAME were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. At the 600 Metres, CHATER POWER became unbalanced when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUPER BROTHER and in doing so shifted in, resulting in MOCHI being crowded for room. After the 500 Metres, SOLDIER got its head on the side and lay out. Rounding the Home Turn, SPEECHMAKER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of LITTLE RAINFOREST. Approaching the 200 Metres, CHATER POWER was shifted out across the heels of SUPER BROTHER to obtain clear running. Throughout the race, GLORY HORSIE travelled three wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. A veterinary inspection of GLORY HORSIE after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, GLORY HORSIE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. GLORY HORSIE, MAKE IT and FLASHING GUY were sent for sampling.
