1 1 FORTUNATE SON (J446) Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Making the Home Turn was bumped by ALL ROUND WINNER when that runner shifted out to improve. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 8 INNO SUPER (K319) Bumped at the start. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. Sent for sampling post-race.

4 6 PING HAI COMET (H344) No report.
5 5 ABSOLUTE AWAKENED (K039) Z Purton stated that the instructions were to settle in a midfield position. He said when caught wide in the early stages and when he was of the opinion there was no opportunity to obtain cover he elected to allow ABSOLUTE AWAKENED to stride forward and race outside the lead to avoid covering additional ground. Trainer F C Lor confirmed the instructions issued.
6 2 ALL ROUND WINNER (K382) Bumped making the Home Turn.
7 3 SURE JOYFUL (G125) Briefly held up making the Home Turn when being shifted to the inside of INNO SUPER to obtain clear running. For some distance near the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind SETANTA. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when positioned close to PING HAI COMET. M Guyon stated that from the outside barrier his instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages to offset the wide draw. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued.
8 12 LUCKY BLESSING (K073) Bumped on jumping.
9 9 PRINCE ALEX (G307) Bumped on jumping. Over the final 200 Metres could not be fully tested when positioned close to ABSOLUTE AWAKENED.
10 7 SOMELOVEFROMABOVE (J503) In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1100 Metres was steadied away from ABSOLUTE AWAKENED. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 11 MANAGEMENT FOLKS (E496) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by FORTUNATE SON which shifted out.
12 4 TURIN WARRIOR (G150) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
