1 6 HAPPY SMILE (L202) Near the 1000 Metres shifted out and made contact with GLORIOUS JOURNEY when being steadied away from INNO SUPER. Sent for sampling post-race.

5 8 LUCK IS BACK (J398) Over the concluding stages was eased to avoid GAZELEY (M Chadwick) which shifted in. M Chadwick was reprimanded.
6 5 INNO SUPER (K319) Approaching the 1500 Metres was steadied to avoid VERMILION TEMPEST when being shifted behind VERMILION TEMPEST to obtain cover. C L Chau reported that the intention was to hold a more forward position but his mount did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to do so.
7 4 VERMILION TEMPEST (L093) No report.
8 2 CLASS (L134) Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
9 11 HEALTHY PONY (L046) Crowded on jumping by CLASS which shifted in. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 7 DASHING MAURISON (K374) H Bentley could offer no explanation for his mount’s failure to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 3 IVY LEAGUE (H116) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 9 VIVA FIRECRACKER (L065) K Teetan stated that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead by LUCK IS BACK and as a result was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. He added that VIVA FIRECRACKER would derive a fitness benefit from tonight’s performance. Trainer A S Cruz stated the horse had pleased him leading into tonight’s race and agreed with the explanation offered by Jockey Teetan. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. The performance of VIVA FIRECRACKER, a last start winner, was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, VIVA FIRECRACKER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
