1 3 AKERMANIS GOLD (L031) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 8 GAZELEY (K253) Near the 700 Metres, when the pace steadied, shifted out to avoid IVY LEAGUE. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 10 SURE JOYFUL (G125) Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped.
4 6 VERMILION TEMPEST (L093) Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Leaving the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid GAZELEY.
5 4 CASA ROCHESTER (J494) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 500 Metres shifted out and made contact with SHAMZ. Held up for some distance on the Home Turn. Near the 300 Metres shifted out to obtain clear running and made contact with SHAMZ.
6 7 LUCKY TOGETHER (L079) Leaving the 1400 Metres was steadied to avoid AKERMANIS GOLD when taken in by GAZELEY (M Chadwick) which shifted in. M Chadwick was reprimanded and advised he must ensure he leaves comfortable racing room for runners to his inside. Approaching the 400 Metres became badly unbalanced when crowded by IVY LEAGUE. Approaching the 100 Metres was shifted to the inside of SURE JOYFUL to continue into clear running.
7 1 SHAMZ (L097) On jumping was crowded between VERMILION TEMPEST and DRAGON ON SNOW. Approaching the 500 Metres was hampered when bumped by CASA ROCHESTER which shifted out to obtain a trailing position behind VERMILION TEMPEST. Bumped near the 300 Metres.
8 5 IVY LEAGUE (H116) Approaching the 400 Metres improved to the inside of MASSIVE REWARD when there was not sufficient room to do so, resulting in IVY LEAGUE then being crowded to the inside of MASSIVE REWARD and also causing LUCKY TOGETHER to be badly crowded and becoming unbalanced. R Kingscote was reprimanded and advised he must ensure there is sufficient room for him to improve into in similar circumstances. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 9 MASSIVE REWARD (L331) Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by SURE JOYFUL. Near the 300 Metres, when commencing to give ground, was steadied to avoid DRAGON ON SNOW which shifted out under pressure. The performance of MASSIVE REWARD, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MASSIVE REWARD will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
10 2 DRAGON ON SNOW (L111) Shifted in at the start and became unbalanced when it made contact with SHAMZ. Trainer D Eustace confirmed the instructions and stated with blinkers being applied for the first occasion he expected the horse to hold a more forward position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of DRAGON ON SNOW, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON ON SNOW will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
