1 9 CHINA WIN (K395) Shifted out on jumping and bumped FORTUNATE SON. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 2 SERAPH GABRIEL (L108) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 10 VIOLET STAR (L149) Jumped only fairly.
4 3 FIVEFORTWO (K381) Jumped only fairly. Bumped approaching the 500 Metres. Near the 250 Metres improved between SAMARKAND and CHINA WIN. Approaching the 200 Metres raced tight between SAMARKAND and CHINA WIN due to both runners shifting ground. FIVEFORTWO was then held up for clear running between the 150 Metres and the 50 Metres when unable to improve to the inside of SERAPH GABRIEL.
5 4 LO RIDER (K161) Approaching the 500 Metres was bumped by FIVEFORTWO which lay in and away from VIOLET STAR.
6 1 FORTUNATE SON (J446) Bumped at the start. Raced keenly in the early stages.
7 11 SAMARKAND (H070) Near the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of CORLEONE to obtain clear running. A short distance later SAMARKAND made contact with FIVEFORTWO due to both runners shifting ground.
8 7 THE AUSPICIOUS (K004) Jumped only fairly. Near the 1300 Metres was eased when crowded by FORTUNATE SON which shifted in and away from FALLON when racing keenly.
9 6 FALLON (H219) Kicked a rail in the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race. Shortly after the start made contact with FORTUNATE SON on a number of occasions. Raced keenly in the early stages.
10 5 CORLEONE (J426) No report.
11 12 FOREVER FOLKS (G463) Jumped only fairly. The explanation provided by K C Leung for returning to scale 3 lbs over his declared weight was accepted. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 8 GLITTERING LEGEND (L109) L Ferraris stated that he was instructed to go forward. He said when unable to cross runners to his inside GLITTERING LEGEND was disadvantaged by being obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
